Rutherford county, N. Car. wills, 975.691S2d, pg. 5 estate admin. John Cartin/Certain by Joseph Gregory, son in law. Refers to land entry 10 June 177l by John on east side of Broad River. Joseph Gregory, made deposition in court Oct 1793, wherein he states he is a son in law of John. Joseph married a daughter of John and his other daughter was Anastatia. Joseph acted as administrator of Certain's estate as his death. By Oct 1793 Land was occupied by Charles Rawlins/Rollins.
