CENSUS: 1790 Census of Rutherford County, NC lists Priscly Rollins as head of household.
~Web_Links: Priscilla was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church in Rutherford County, NC. She and her daughter Nancy requested letters of dismissal from the church in 1794, indicating their intention of leaving the area. Priscilla probably went to Warren County, Kentucky with her children Nancy, Charles, Roderick. See: SANDY RUN BAPTIST CHURCH http://www.rawlins.org/Lyle/kingsmountain/sandyrun.jpg
Julia GED says maybe England
Thorough search made by Bruce Rawlins and his sister-in-law in Virginia and North Carolina northeastern county records for all Blounts in church records, N. Carolina Hist. and Gen. register, probates of all kinds in Surry and southampton counties in Virginia, North Carolina counties of Chowan, Albemarle, Bertie, Martin, Pitt, Currituck and other nearby counties.
There were two generations of Priscilla Blounts who had married into the Blounts, one dau. of a William Browne, and she married a Thomas Blount in Surry county, Va. Other Priscilla daughter in law of same parties through their son, William, see Bruce's references for exact probates, deeds, etc.
Whitmel Hill married a Blount, he and John Lewellyn in same area as a James Rollins in Martin county records and Pitt county. In James's Trial Whitmel Hill and a Col. Williams were reported to be on list to be killed by Tory plot, James Rawlins denied havinganything to do with it. I am inclined he didn't either, especially if part of parties were relatives of his wife. No wonder he wanted to return to England and take his family. 1790 census N. Car. 975.6x2p, pg. 117 or 119 Charles Rollings and Prudy Rollens, Morgan District, Rutherford county.
